Batteries and accumulators (accumulators) contain resources and pollutants. You are therefore legally obliged to hand in old batteries and rechargeable batteries to an approved collection point. As a result, they are recycled in an environmentally friendly and resource-saving manner.
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:

Please tape off the poles of high-performance batteries before handing them in at the collection point to avoid short circuits.
Please hand in defective batteries to the local recycling center for collection of harmful substances.

Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005% by mass of mercury.”
